




Our Mission is to preserve, promote, educate (at all levels), and disseminate information about African American history/culture, as well as provide experiences, opportunities, and information that traverse the full spectrum of Jazz and Blues in the American historical presence.

Join us in our support of congressional bills H.R. 57 AND H.R.4280, as we work to preserve the historical knowledge and education of Jazz and Blues Music.

Associate Professor Dr. Patterson earned his BA Degree in Music from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) in 1957. In 1965 Dr. Patterson earned his Masters of Music Degree from the University of Michigan. He received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Morris Brown College in 2018.
